Good Movies (at least ‘decent’)

CA$H (2010)
at first, you're like shoot, B-movie, waste of time, but there are actually some interesting psychologically exploratory moments in this script... acting is a bit plastic at times but juuust realistic enough to hold it together… i would watch the “Cash 2” that the ending tees up

Smokin' Aces 2 (2010)
A predictable yet fun shoot'em up... it's awesome to see Chicago in the background here and there since that's home

The Invention of Lying (2009)
Based on a fun premiss, real funny out of the gate... so much potential with these kinds of movies (Idiocracy is another good example) that if they diverege from where I would've taken it then I'm pretty disappointed... still, good movie... I would tell my friends, this reality is a lot like how Germans behave in real life (half kidding :)

The Men Who Stare At Goats (2009)
a delightful little romp with some big stars to dazzle the eye... perhaps even more so if you're a recent employee of the army that just happens to have a buddy that recently moved to Ft. Bragg

District 9 (2009)
movie after my own heart... the perfect geek movie

IMDB folks primarily hated it, i’m not as smart as them, it kept me interested… same writer/director as Donnie Darko (nuf said)

Nothing too fancy but a good distratction

realistic enough to keep you in the zone... interesting to see British version of "Cabrini"

Wow, this is some of the coolest action CGI I've ever seen! Certain segments are the best rockin fun wild ride I've had in a long while... YOU MUST WATCH THIS ON A BIG SCREEN!! Woody Harrelson, Danny Glover, John Cusack, Chiwetel Ejiofor (really like this guy), Amanda Peet (blah attractive wife placeholder)

Law Abiding Citizen (2009)
Jamie Foxx ('meh'), Gerard Butler (dig his style, he's been busy this year)... very decent set up plot... was really liking it... didn't like the denouement... wish they went the other direction... sorry, i know, spoiler

I'll admit it, i liked this one... Adam Sandler redeems Hollywood
